After a well-lubricated evening, the hipsters are surprised by lights from the sky that literally suck up anyone who looks into its glare. Barricaded in their high-tech apartment, the group of friends discover that enormous spaceships are hovering over the city, and that tentacled monsters are destroying Los Angeles to feed off human brains...
