Anthroposophy ­invented by Rudolf Steiner and continuously developed for more than a century ­is today practiced in various fields, such as education, medicine, agriculture and art. Is it an esoteric and unrealistic method of education, a fundamentalist view of the world or even a radical alternative to today¹s dominant capitalism? On a voyage from Egypt to Sweden by way of Germany and Switzerland, the film introduces people active in the service of anthroposophy and those who have left the controversial movement. Hesitating between the fascination for an elusive universe and the rejection of such a universe, this documentary tells a story of ambivalence.
