How did Tom Cruise meet Katie Holmes?

A former member of the Church of Scientology has told the English tabloid «News of the World» how Tom Cruise really met his current wife Katie Holmes.

The source claims after Tom Cruise fell into depression upon the failure of his relationship with Penelope Cruz, the Church of Scientology organized auditions for actresses, ostensibly to star in «Mission Impossible III».

Actually, according to the former Scientologist, the idea was to find Cruise a new girlfriend. The list was quickly whittled down to three: Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba.

No luck for Cruise, though: Garner was already in a relationship with Ben Affleck, Alba reportedly never came to her audition and Johansson fled once she caught on.

Katie Holmes apparently passed her audition.

Although this news comes from a scandal sheet, it does echo reports from MSNBC, E! and Rolling Stone Magazine three years ago, when these «auditions» allegedly took place.
