The Next Three Days

A man decides to break his wife out of prison when she is accused of murder.

The Next Three Days

John, his wife Lara, and their son are one big happy family. When the police comes to arrest Lara for murder, John is sure she is innocent and tries to fight for her release. But when he is unsuccessful and she is sent to prison, he decides to help her escape...

Considered one of the most successful screenwriters in Hollywood and hailed for his directing of Crash and In the Valley of Elah, Paul Haggis (Casino Royale, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima) returns to the director's chair for this remake of Fred Cavayé's Pour Elle, which was released in 2008. Although a bit too true to the original, the mixture of high-level suspense and solid romance make for good entertainment, with a nice twist for those who haven't seen the French version. Starring Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks in the roles originated by Vincent Lindon and Diane Kruger.
