Death threat for Ridley Scott
Ridley Scott, director of classics such as «Blade Runner», «Alien», «The Duellists» and «Gladiator» was threatened to death on the set of his latest movie «Kingdom of Heaven» by an Islamic extremist group upset about battle scenes.
The movie Ridley Scott is currently shooting in Morocco tackles a crucial chapter of History: Crusades. British filmmaker and his crew have been threatened to death by a local Islamic extremist group upset about the way Ridley Scott presents battle scenes between Muslim Saracen soldiers and Christian King Richard The Lionheart's men. After recent Madrid bomb attacks and last year's blasts in Casablanca, both acts perpetrated by Morrocan Islamic extremist groups, the threat has been taken seriously by the production and King Mohammed of Morocco who sent hundreds of his soldiers in order to guard and protect Scott's set, crew and cast which includes Liam Neeson, Orlando Bloom and Jeremy Irons.
