«Bad Santa» Billy Bob

Billy Bob Thornton, husband of Angelina Jolie, is about to take on the part of a criminal Santa Claus. He seems to stick to his motto not to limit himself to one type. His ability to change appears to be limitless.

Not many actors are as versatile as Billy Bob Thornton. Among his latest films are «Bandits», «Monster´s Ball» and obviously the marvellous film noir «The Man Who Wasn´t There» by the Coen-brothers in which he starred as the silent barber Ed Crane. The part of a criminal Santa is his next challenge. According to «Variety», Thornton is to play the main part in «Bad Santa», directed by Terry Zwigoff, whose last film, «Ghost World», was still recently in Swiss cinemas. The comedy thriller tells the story of two crooks who go about their slightly dodgy business in shopping malls until a little boy gives them a good talking. The film is destined to be released in time for Christmas 2003.
