A philosophical Bond?

According to the British newspaper The Guardian, James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan is in talks with director Ang Lee (“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”) about shooting the next and presumably Brosnan’s last James Bond film.

Pierce Brosnan says that Ang Lee is interested in directing the next James Bond film, of which little more than the very dry working title “Bond 20” is known. But, apparently, Lee will participate only on condition that he will have control over the final cut. Brosnan reckons that this is out of the question. Together with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, he will try to convince Lee to change his mind. And what if the next James Bond film were to be all philosophical? Well, it is rather unlikely, really.
