Mi, 21.03.2007, Constantin Xenakis
Jack Nicholson visits terminal cancer patients to give them comfort and cheer them up.
Jack Nicholson has been regularly visiting Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to prepare for his role as a cancer patient in «The Bucket List», co-starring Morgan Freeman.
After having gathered information to help him in his role, the «Chinatown» actor, touched and moved by the suffering of the patients in the ward, has continued to visit after production on the movie was complete, to give comfort and bring some cheer to the people he met.
A source at Cedars-Sinai says: «He jokes, plays cards and treats patients like long-lost friends. He tries to see as many beds as possible and he brings in DVDs of his movies and talks them through what happened behind the scenes. He feels terrible leaving, knowing he's maybe seen some of them for the last time.»
