Michelle Pfeiffer is scheduled to join the remake of John Waters' «Hairspray», co-starring John Travolta.

In what should prove to be a «soft» remake of the musical comedy «Hairspray» (directed in 1988 by the prince of bad taste, John Waters), Michelle Pfeiffer, as the evil Velma Von Tussle, is due to co-star with John Travolta and Queen Latifah. Absent from the screen since «White Oleander» in 2002, Pfeiffer seems to be preparing to return to movies in a big way; in addition to this project, talented beauty also has other projects in the running, including «Stardust», with Robert De Niro and Peter O'Toole.
