Joe Pesci returns to the screen

After a 7-year absence, Joe Pesci returns to the screen in style. He could use the image upgrade.

After a string of decidedly mediocre movies such as «Lethal Weapon 4», «Gone Fishin» and «8 Heads in a Duffle Bag», Joe Pesci took a 7-year absence from Hollywood, possibly to recover from the shock of making so much easy money from such bad films. Now Robert DeNiro has managed to bring Joe Pesci back into the respectable fold, giving him a small but important role in his new feature, «The Good Shepard». Producer and star DeNiro’s espionage thriller about the founding of the American Central Intelligence Agency also stars Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, William Hurt, Timothy Hutton, Alec Baldwin, Keir Dullea and John Turturro. The screenplay was written by Eric Roth, who also penned «Forrest Gump».
