Mandy Moore: no hypocrite

After playing a silly teenager in «The Princess Diaries», the young singer and actor Mandy Moore switches to a good girl role for the comedy «Saved».

In «Saved», Mandy Moore plays good Christian girl Hilary Faye, who helps lost souls back on the path to righteousness. Although Moore herself is a believer, at the recent European premiere in London she distanced herself from the role of Hilary Faye: «I think religion is a really personal thing and I acknowledge that maybe what works for me doesn't necessarily work for everybody else out there but I feel really fulfilled and satisfied, and don't feel the need to sort of like be preachy about it. Whereas Hilary Faye is, um, she's so hypocritical because she says one thing and does another.» «Saved» is due out in Swiss theaters in early 2005.
