On the 300th anniversary of the birth of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Marie (Anne Richard), a prime time TV journalist, decides to film an interview with 10-year-old Tom (Liam Kim), who seems to know all about the works of the philosopher from Geneva. She suggests Professor Stohler, a great Rousseau specialist, to do the interview, but he is at first reluctant. Tom then quickly manages to shake the eminent academic's certainty about his expertise.
