Weekend

Two men meet, but their relationship can last only 48 hours. Gay drama by Andrew Haigh

Two men who are complete opposites: Russell, who's looking for the love of his life; and Glen, who's not interested in a relationship. But after a date that is more than just a one night stand, they both must decide how their lives will continue. Russell wants to give himself over to the relationship, while Glen plans to leave for the US the next stay to start his studies. All they have left is one more night that may change their lives forever.

For this gay love story, director and screenwriter Andrew Haigh doesn't try to capture his audience, which makes it all the more compelling. Weekend is one of those rare films that knows how to convey to the audience what it's like to fall in love. The authenticity of this small, intimate story is driven by the unbelievable chemistry between lead actors Tom Cullen and Chris New.
