Twelve
A teen from a formerly rich New York family deals drugs to make ends meet.
White Mike has just lost his mother to cancer and his father's business has tanked. To help support the family, Mike drops out of his private school to sell drugs to his rich party-hearty friends in the Upper East Side. A special party order for a new substance called Twelve reveals the sordid underbelly of this seemingly antiseptic world...
Surfing on the wave of Gossip Girl and Bret Easton Ellis' mythological rich kids, Joel Schumacher, the maker of such cheese fests as Batman & Robin, 8MM, Bad Company and The Number 23, skips over any real depth in favor of the superficial, which leaves an entertainingly slick and sufficiently paced bit of diversion.
