On the way back, Günther has an accident, but Reinhold saves himself and finds himself accused of being responsible for his brother's death. Joseph Vilsmaier directs the story with visual and musical pathos, briefly looks back at their childhood and youth, and finds an answer to every question. His melodrama, marked by fascinating mountains and exhausted faces, celebrates the fiasco as a triumph of human will that stops at nothing.
