Sent by NASA to gather samples of alien life in our solar system, a probe crashes in Central America on its way home, releasing new and potentially dangerous life forms into the region. The army is deployed into the jungle, but is unable to stamp out the phenomenon... Soon all of northern Mexico is placed under quarantine.
