Insoupçonnable
French thriller about a young couple who decides to scam a wealthy widower.
Sam and Lise, a marginal couple pretending to be brother and sister, live close to the French-Swiss border. Every evening they go to Geneva, where Lise works in a bar as a «hostess». Dreaming of more, she decides to seduce Henry, a very rich 50-something, to get her hands on his fortune. Blinded by his love for her, Sam agrees to help, but soon realizes that his girlfriend's plan is more complex than he thought...
For his second feature, Gabriel Le Bomin has adapted the eponymous novel by Tanguy Viel. Studded with multiple twists that are sometimes foreseeable and sometimes incongruous, this psychological thriller starring Charles Berling and Laura Smet is not very credible.
