Energy from 100% renewable sources: documentary about people living the green dream .
Against a backdrop of wasted energy in Los Angeles, Carl A. Fechner's documentary looks at the drive towards switching to renewable energy: from successes with windmills in Denmark to luxurious electric cars in California, a German solar energy company and the options for renewable energy specific to the southern hemisphere. Fechner also makes a case for linking the transition to new energy sources with the democratization of the supply of energy itself.
With its many examples, this plea for rethinking surrounding the economics of energy does make viewers ponder the subject at hand, but its short-windedness and moralistic approach remains superficial and one-sided. Go to movie review
