Alice in Wonderland
Now a young woman living uncomfortably in England's high and rigid society, Alice receives a marriage proposal from an ugly and presumptuous aristocrat. Speechless as she struggles to answer, Alice gets distracted by a white rabbit whom she follows to Wonderland, a magical world that she dreamt of as a child, and where the evil Red Queen has taken power by freeing the Jabberwocky, a horrible dragon-like creature. This new adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classics could also be called Alice in Burtonland or Alice in Disneyland, as the influence of the filmmaker and the studio are all palpable - the screenwriter of The Lion King and Mulan, Linda Woolverton, is the producer this time around and has certainly left a mark... The 3D technology is used mainly to hover subtitles and credits between the audience and the screen.
