Ryan Bingham has one of the worst jobs in the world: he is hired by companies all over the US to tell their employees they're fired. A cynical and rebellious individualist whose aim is to collect 10 million frequent flyer miles, Ryan spends most of his time in hotel rooms, airports and planes - traveling 250 days a year - or at one of his seminars telling participants how to trim the fat of family, personal possessions, souvenirs and feelings from their lives.
