Plastic Planet
Austria's Werner Boote takes his cue from Michael Moore in this critical documentary about the world of plastic, focusing not only on its omnipresence and seeming necessity, but also on its dangers. Chemists and managers are interviewed, the spotlight shines on the role of plastic in surgery and art, and possible alternatives are briefly discussed. Although the many facts in "Plastic Planet" are thought-provoking, the movie suffers from its superficiality.
