Together with Aimard, Knüpfer fiddles on the instrument's sound for hours until it meets Aimard's expectations. During the recording, Knüpfer's unspoken commentary, brief clips of other renowned pianists and sprinkles of humor offer a nice balance against the often too-esoteric discussions about sound.
