Adelle Lutz Adelle Lutz (born 13 November 1948 in New York City, NY, USA) is a costume designer, model and actress. She is a daughter of a Japanese mother, Mona Lutz and a German father, Walter E. Lutz. She was the wife of David Byrne, but divorced in 2004 with a daughter. She is the sister of model Tina Chow.
She had a small and unseen cameo in Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs as a news reporter on TV. She portrayed Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Aung San Suu Kyi, in John Boorman's film Beyond Rangoon in 1995. She also has a supporting-cast role in Wim Wenders' Until the End of the World, as the main character's best friend. This role was almost completely removed from the theatrical version of the film, but appears in greatly expanded form in the multiple-disc versions of the DVD available in European countries.
